The trio talk about Dr. Rema leading the charge for transformative leadership, cultural, responsive leadership among educators and community partners, and how her fight for social justice began on the playground on her very first day of school.

Dr. Rema Reynolds

Dr. Rema is a former K-12 public school teacher, counselor, and administrator. She currently organizes parents to improve students’ achievement and teaches Educational Leadership to aspiring school administrators. Dr. Rema’s research examines issues of Black parent engagement and the roles educators and students play in creating social change through community development. She consults for a number of school districts across the country, teaching educators how to take deliberate action to increase equity and access for all students. She has also taught and presented at conferences throughout the United States and in over 20 countries. Dr. Rema is known for her love for the people and her desire to actualize the collective power of the people. Knowledge is power. Power is freedom. Dr. Rema wants us all to get free.
